The frailty of life is overwhelming and yet, so often overlooked. In a moment all can change for those with a healthy life to one who is in need of constant care. For many people it is difficult to look into the eyes of someone who is wheelchair bound or bedridden because it reminds us of how fragile life truly is. But when you take time to look into the eyes of the children that call Widow’s Mite home you see something very precious, you see life. Who sets the price on life? Who determines what life is to be? How do we calculate the value of life? Is a child who runs after a soccer ball more valuable than one who cannot leave their wheel chair? Or a little one who sings more precious than one who can only grunt? Who is to be counted as more valuable…your child or mine?
There are twenty children living in Murry Mount, Jamaica who, according to our worlds definition, will never be “normal.” Some will never hold a spoon to feed themselves, others will only know a life of waiting to be moved to a different position in bed. The world turns it’s back on these “abnormal” ones so it doesn’t have to be reminded that life is fragile. But not us, instead we run towards them for we see life…life that is special and gifted. Join us and become a life changer by supplying hope to a child’s life. Change a child’s world by sponsoring them for as low as $15 per month.
